State Requirements

The minimum requirements for graduation from Sultan High School are set by the State of Washington, with additional requirements determined by the Sultan School Board. One half credit (.5) is granted for the successful completion of a one semester course (18 weeks). Students must earn a minimum of 24 credits in the following areas, meet the Competency Requirements and Pass the SBAC and EOC’s.

Honors & Advanced Placement

Sultan High School offers advanced courses for students interested in more challenging work at the high school. Honors classes in ninth and tenth grade prepare students to be successful in college level classes in eleventh and twelfth grade. College Board Advanced Placement as well as College in the High School courses are included in these offerings. When a student successfully completes an AP exam, they may receive college credit from their school of attendance. Advanced classes offered at Sultan High School include:
