There may be 3 board members ni attendance, which makes a quorum, but no board business items will be voted on. Everyone in the community is welcome to join and bring a friend!
Tomorrow, Thursday, June 27th, 2024, will be the start of a new Citizen Facility Advisory Committee! Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. There may be 3 or more members of the SSD Board of Directors, which makes for a quorum, but no official business will be discussed. The group will go over the post-2024 Bond Community Survey results and discuss future possibilities. This meeting will take place at 6pm in the Sultan Middle School Library located at 301 High Avenue, Sultan, WA 98294.

We are hosting afternoon open house meetings for families newly arrived in the country on July 1st, 15th, 29th, and August 12th from 12 to 3 PM. These meetings will provide valuable information about services and resources available to you and your children, and introduce you to our school system. Yesterday, at 5 pm, the board of directors held a candidate interview for the one applicant for director district #3. The board deliberated afterward and then voted during the regular meeting at 6 pm for Michael Butler to be the new board director. He was sworn in and began his duties last night. We want to welcome Michael Butler to the Sultan School District!

On Thursday, June 20th, 2024 at 6 pm the Sultan School District Board of Directors will meet for an executive session, closed to the public, at the District Office located at 514 4th Street, Sultan, WA 98294, for the Superintendent's evaluation.
Additionally, on Monday, June 24th, 2024, at 5 pm, the Sultan School District Board of Directors will hold Board Candidate Interviews which will be open to the public in the Sultan Elementary School Library at 501 Date Street, Sultan, WA 98294.
Announcement for May 29th, 2024: Director District 3 is now vacant and open to apply for. The Board will accept the candidate information form, resumes, and cover letters from interested individuals from Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, until noon on Friday, June 21st, 2024. Interviews will be held at 5 pm on Monday, June 24th, 2024, before the board meeting at 6 pm.
